Eco-Bot Waste Warrior

$100.00

In this action-packed engineering workshop, students will build and code their own Micro:bit-powered robot to help clean up land-based pollution. Drawing inspiration from real-world environmental robotics, students will design a waste-collecting robot to tackle a specific cleanup challenge—be it a beach, park, or neighborhood street.

Through research, design, and hands-on programming, they’ll learn how robotics and technology can be harnessed for environmental problem-solving, while gaining technical skills in coding and engineering.

What you’ll learn.
- Global waste issues and innovative cleanup technologies
- Principles of robotics, coding, and engineering design
- How sensors, motors, and code work together
- The role of technology in environmental protection

What you’ll do.
- Research pollution challenges and robotic solutions
- Design a robot for a specific environment
- Code Micro:bit to control sensors and movement
- Build and test a working robot prototype

What you’ll gain.
- Practical coding and engineering experience
- A deeper understanding of tech-driven sustainability
- Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- A functioning robot that reflects your eco-conscious vision

Age: 7 - 12
Duration: 5 hours
Cost: $100 - The program is FREE with a NSW Creative Kids Voucher

StemGen Project acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, who are the traditional custodians of the land on which we create. We recognise their enduring relationship to the land and their continuing cultural and spiritual customs and practices. We pay our deepest respects to all Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
